Simply put, a logotype is a word that signifies your company. Most often logotypes incorporate a symbol that further distinguishes you from your competitors. Logotypes must be durable and give strength to your companies brand identity.
When developing your logotype, be certain the typeface(s) chosen properly communicate your companies message. Assure your logotype is legible for silk-screening on a writing pen, or large enough to be seen on the side of a tall building.
While approaching the process of creating logotype is valuable, don't forget to have fun! By changing the colors or shapes of your symbol, you can brand various business lines offered by your company or display the appropriate seasonal promotions.
